The Washington Ballet: Genius3

The Washington Ballet concludes its season with a program at the Harman Center for the Arts, Genius3, with numerous performances May 19 through May 23.  The company will perform Twyla Tharp's Push Comes to Shove, Mark Morris's Pacific, Nacho Duato's Cor Pedut, and George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments.  They are making wonderful use of their new space in the Harman Center, as seen not long ago from their Bolero(+) performance and the revival then of the masterful Edwaard Liang work Wunderland set to some of Philip Glass's finest music.  To imagine this city without the Washington Ballet is to appreciate how cursed we would be with visitors only to our stages for serious ballet.

As usual, any time there are discounted tickets to be found, you will hear about it here - one of the primary ambits of this blog is "to make art affordable to the demographic who actually understand art most."  (Sorry; last time I'll pull the cheesy slogan.)  Click here and select the best-in-house Section A seats for Saturday at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at 1:00 p.m., or Sunday at 6:00 p.m.  Normally $85, your seats will be $20 each.
